Looking like something out of a Troma film this toxic looking concoction broke into the already saturated UK energy drink market.
Mountain Dew was originally released in the UK back in 1996 but failed to ignite interest with the soft drinking public and was phased out in 1998 despite a successful initial promotion linking the drink to the Wipeout video game on the original PlayStation. It wouldn't be until 2005 when I purchased a bottle at a surf shop in Raglan, NZ that I would get to taste the dew again. Subsequent return trips and a long hot summer in the USA allowed me to get reacquainted.
The original Mountain Dew has never returned to the UK but this energy drink at least hints at a possible return from exoduus one day!
